Naar de Interexperience leden is een mail gestuurd met daarin een bericht van Randy Meyer, Director HP NonStop Product Management, Strategy & Technology. In dit bericht werd medegedeeld dat op de HP Discover 2013 in Las Vegas slechts 8 NonStop sessies gehouden zullen worden, uitsluitend gericht op het hoger management (CIO's, VP's etc). De technisch inhoudelijk sessies zoals we die in Las Vegas gewend zijn, zijn verplaatst naar het Connect NonStop Technical Bootcamp in San Jose dat begin november gehouden wordt. Ook de NonStop partners die normaal gesproken aanwezig zijn op de HP Discover, zullen daar niet zijn. In plaats van de HP Discoverk zullen ze in San Jose zijn. Een verrassende ontwikkeling die best nogal wat vragen oproept. Ik ben benieuwd hoe jullie hierover denken. Graag jullie input; die kunnen we als gebruikersgroep tegen HP aanhouden!

Please take note: The HP NonStop division will be using different approaches in supporting the primary events this year.
Users should attend Discover 2013 in Las Vegas (June 11-13) or Barcelona (Dec 10-12) if their main focus is high-level and/or oriented toward seeing what "greater HP" has to offer as well as learning what is new in the NonStop world. Discover presentations will be oriented toward Directors, VPs, SVPs and CIOs.
The HP NonStop Division participation at Discover will include eight breakout sessions, about evenly divided between business/solutions and relatively high-level technical content such as roadmaps. We will also have a presence in the Expo. Our participation in Barcelona will be at a similar level.
If you are looking for more in-depth technically focused content from the NonStop Division and NonStop partners you should attend the Connect NonStop Technical Boot Camp (TBC) in San Jose, Nov 3-5 and/or you're local RUG meetings. A schedule of the worldwide Connect RUG events can be found on the Connect site. Presentations at the TBC and local RUG meetings contain a level of detail appropriate for system managers, developers and DBAs.
The NonStop availability awards presentation will also be held at the Connect TBC.
